FLOOR GRAPHIC INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION

INDOOR Floor Decal Installation Instruction

This Installation Instruction is specifically for installing Indoor Floor Decals.  Floor decal installation is application specific.  Be sure to refer to the correct instruction for the decal you are applying.

Determine Location
Choose installation location with compatible floor surface.  The ideal surface for Indoor Floor Decal should be smooth, clean, and sealed(non-porous and free of loose particles).  The cleaner and smoother the application surface, the better the decal will stick, and the longer it will last.  Avoid any grouts or cracks.

Surface Preparation
Surface must be completely clean, free of any grease or wax, or any loose particles.  If necessary, clean the surface with 91% + rubbing alcohol.  Clean the area including 6 to 8 inches around the decal.  If cleaned with alcohol, wipe the surface with a dry lint-free towel afterward and be sure to let the moisture and alcohol completely dried off or evaporated before applying the decal.

Installing the Indoor Floor Decal

For best result, we recommend applying the decal at the end of the day to allow the adhesion to strengthen overnight.  Be sure the application surface is between 50° to 100°F (10° to 38°C) when applying.  After the application surface has be prepared according to the guideline above, follow the instruction below to install the Indoor Floor Decal:

  1. Remove any remaining debris or loose particles again with a brush or lint-free towel;
  2. Position the decal on the floor surface and mark Its position;
  3. Peel back and fold the backing paper about 1-1/2”(1.5”) on one edge;
  4. Position and align the decal to the position marking then tag the exposed adhesive edge to the surface, continue working to tag the remaining exposed adhesive area to the floor;
  5. Using a squeegee, starting from the area just applied to the floor, slowly and firmly squeegee the decal across Its width onto the surface with overlapping strokes while pulling of the back paper off as needed, continue applying the decal until finished;
  6. Starting from the center out, firmly squeegee the entire decal couple times to ensure adhesion;
  7. Squeegee the edges of the decal again.
  8. Allow decal to set for at least one(1) hour before expose it to the traffic.

Removal Instruction
Indoor Floor Decal can be easily removed within 3 months of application.  If having trouble to remove them after 3 months, heat up the decal with blow dryer, heat gun, or propane torch before trying to peel it off the surface.  Start removing the decal after cooled down from heating.
